The moon waxes from the 1st to the 2nd and from the 17th to the 30th: good for starting new projects. Moon wanes from the 3rd to the 17th: good for finishing up projects and tying up loose ends. The New Moon of the 17th occurs in Virgo, your 6th Solar House. Clarity will come on health and job issues. The Full Moon of the 2nd occurs in Pisces, your 12th Solar House, giving you extra energy to achieve spiritual and charitable goals.
Mars, your ruler, makes an important move out of Sagittarius, where it has been since February, and into Capricorn, your career house. This is significant as it shows a shift in attitude from educational and philosophical issues to more practical concerns. It also spurs ambition. On the 23rd the planetary power shifts to the upper half of your chart, reinforcing your ambitions and career goals. On the one hand the Mars move is more stressful on you, but on the other it pushes you towards success. But the main thing is that you will see the difference between theoretical and practical functioning. Everyone is a genius while sitting in their armchair thinking. But when theories get tested in practical life, it's a different story. Philosophies often get modified or thrown out the window.
Mars move also creates a heavenly T-Square pattern in the heavens. This is a stressful aspect. It becomes strongest after the 23rd. So rest and relax more than. Do what you can each day and then let go and sleep like a baby. The T-Square also highlights the need to balance love, home and family and career. Balancing out the stressful T-Square, we have many modifying happy aspects. This has been a year where we've seen many, many Grand Trines re unusual. In previous months, the Grand Trines only lasted a few days. This month we have a Grand Trine in Air that lasts for the entire month. This is a harmonious aspect for you, in terms of health, love and intellectual capacity. We also have a brief Grand Trine in Fire (your native element) on the 4th and 5th. This is also wonderful for your health and brings both romantic opportunities and financial windfalls.
Love is active, this month, but bittersweet. Not a smooth ride. Someone you thought was a friend might try to interfere with a current relationship not in a good way. The relationship is endangered. A good one will survive. There are also numerous contradictions in your love urges this month specially after the 23rd. Power in the Sign of Libra makes you, and the world in general, more romantic. But Venus in Virgo on the 21 st can make for perfectionism, fault-finding and criticism. By all means hold an ideal of perfection in love, but avoid judgement and especially avoid destructive criticism.
